Is thinking short term keeping you stuck overweight?

A big area that holds people back when wanting to lose weight is only thinking short term.

You may be desperate to lose weight. You may be sick and tired of not liking how your body looks, not being happy in your clothes, feeling unattractive, struggling with energy, having health issues, having reduced confidence due to your weight, or any other areas.

So it’s very easy to see why you, or anyone who is unhappy with their weight, would want to do everything they can to lose weight.

The drawback of being in this position is that you don’t want to wait years to reach your dream weight and get a body that you’re happy with – You want results and you want them NOW!

This is human nature and it’s why most people who want to lose weight will try diets which stops you from losing weight, or they will try things like weight loss pills or berries that are meant to have magical powers.

Trying these short term fixes, or “quick fixes” though will only result in long term disaster and with you struggling with your weight forever.

What happens when you think short term?

Thinking short term means that your mind is attuned to looking for things that could bring immediate weight loss results. This could be diets, pills, berries, etc.

Some of these things will have short term weight loss results, some will have no results at all, and it’s extremely likely that none will have long term weight loss results.

In a way, by trying these “quick fixes” you are trying to cheat your way to losing weight, trying to find a shortcut, and get an easy and quick result to solve the pain that you are feeling due to your weight. Like I say, this is human nature and it’s perfectly understandable.

What you end up with though is wasting your time, wasting your energy, feeling worse about yourself, losing confidence, and being no better off with your weight.

Don’t be conned with short term fixes

I really want you be successful with losing weight and reaching a weight that you’re happy with, so I’m going to be very frank here.

If you go for short term fixes then you are being “taken for a mug”, “taken for a ride”, or whatever you want to call it.

Many companies create shiny new diets or offer magical pills or berries (like one’s that luckily have just been discovered deep in the Amazon jungle and have magical weight loss properties) that attract people who are desperate to lose weight, knowing that many people will try anything. These companies don’t really care if their products work, as long as they get your money.

If I told you, you could take a magic pill or go on a revolutionary new diet and all your weight problems would be solved forever, and it was $50, would you take the chance? It would be very tempting wouldn’t it?

If I told you, you could take a magic pill or go on a revolutionary new diet and NONE of your weight problems would be solved, and you would have $50 less in your bank and waste 6 months of your life, would you take the chance? No way.

Well, I’m telling you that short term fixes will only waste your time, and make your purse or wallet lighter and NOT your body!

I know this may be painful to hear if you’ve gone for short term fixes like diets, but now you have more knowledge, and from now on you can learn how to lose weight properly, safely, and successfully.

Why it’s best to always think long term

It really is much quicker and much easier to lose weight by thinking long term than it is to think short term.

You can’t expect long term results with short term thinking. You can however, get long term results with long term thinking.

Would you rather spend years, decades, and the rest of your life with your weight fluctuating down and up and ending up at the same place, or most likely heavier? This is what short term thinking will do for you.

Or would you rather learn how to lose weight properly, and lose weight over 6 months, one year, or two years, and never have to worry about your weight ever again. This is what long term thinking will do for you (when you also have the right plan to support that thinking).

The good news is…

You NEVER need to fall for diets, pills, berries, etc anymore.

Doing so will only cause you short term and long term pain, waste valuable years of your life, and keep you struggling with your weight forever. So let’s use long term thinking instead!
